Today — 8 June 2026 — Apple kicked off WWDC 2026 with the announcement of iOS 27. The headline is a completely rebuilt Siri, now powered by a custom Google Gemini model, that can understand context, take actions across third-party apps, and learn how you actually use your phone.

Alongside the Siri overhaul, iOS 27 brings Liquid Glass design refinements, improved battery and performance, AI-powered photo tools, and further improvements to Live Activities — the feature that shows real-time information right on your Lock Screen without opening any app.

For shift workers, that last one matters most. And Overtime Live has been built around it from the start.

Live Activities — Overtime Live Is Already There

Live Activities launched with iOS 16.1 back in 2022. From day one, Overtime Live was built to run on it.

Siri can interact with third-party apps

The new Siri in iOS 27 is designed to take actions inside third-party apps — not just Apple’s own. Liquid Glass design refresh
